Igor Tudor Appears to be Ignored by Micky Van de Ven in First Game as Tottenham Head Coach

Tottenham Hotspur is currently 16th in the Premier League, dangerously close to the relegation zone. As a result, the club decided to part ways with Thomas Frank and bring in Igor Tudor as interim coach until the season ends, relying on his experience to turn things around.

However, in his first match against Arsenal on Sunday, Tudor’s efforts didn’t pay off. The team lost 4-1 in the North London derby, with expectations low given their recent performance.

While the players displayed some determination in the first half, Arsenal proved too strong in the second half and claimed a well-deserved win.

Ian Wright Expresses Concern about Igor Tudor-Micky van de Ven Interaction

After Tottenham’s loss to Arsenal, a video surfaced showing Igor Tudor urging Micky van de Ven to push forward and pressure Arsenal’s attackers. Van de Ven seemingly ignored Tudor, an incident noted by former Arsenal player Ian Wright.

Wright found it worrying that Van de Ven and other Tottenham players did not engage with their new coach, interpreting it as a sign that the team has given up this season.

“I saw Tudor trying to talk to Van de Ven, and he totally ignored him,” Wright remarked on the latest episode of Stick to Football.

“It tells me that they’ve checked out already,” he added, discussing the moment.

“This guy (Tudor) is new; he wants him to move up, looking for a response, and Van de Ven just stays put. That doesn’t look good.”
