The Indiana Pacers have been successful against the Charlotte Hornets this season, winning both previous matchups. However, the Hornets gained a measure of revenge with a 133-109 victory on Thursday night. This win marked the Hornets’ ninth straight win on the road, making them the first team in NBA history to achieve both a nine-game winning streak and a nine-game losing streak on the road in the same season.
The standout player of the night was Rookie of the Year contender Kon Knueppel.
With his sixth three-pointer in the game, Knueppel surpassed Keegan Murray (206) for the most three-pointers by a rookie, finishing with a total of 209. With 22 games remaining in the regular season, he already ranks ninth in Hornets history for three-pointers in a season, trailing leader Kemba Walker by 51.
