Manchester City striker Erling Haaland sustained a minor injury during training ahead of Saturday’s Premier League match against Leeds United. However, he is projected to be back in time for the next game against Nottingham Forest.

Haaland is a leading candidate for the Premier League Player of the Season award and is the top contender for the Golden Boot. His absence is always a significant concern for Manchester City, given that he is their primary striker.

The positive news is that although Haaland will miss the Leeds match, reports indicate that he will be ready to play against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night.

If Haaland were unable to participate, Manchester City could opt for a two-forward setup, similar to Real Madrid‘s strategy during their 2023/24 Champions League-winning season with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes.

In this scenario, wingers Antoine Semenyo and Omar Marmoush could be paired up front, as they have proven to be effective goal-scorers and possess the tough physicality and dribbling skills needed to adapt to a forward position when necessary.
