Tottenham suffered a 2-1 defeat against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Tottenham faced another tough loss against Fulham last weekend. Former player Jamie O’Hara described the team’s current situation as “embarrassing.” He pointed out three key issues holding Tottenham back.

Tottenham struggled early at Craven Cottage, falling behind right away. They couldn’t recover as Alex Iwobi scored a great second goal for Fulham. Though Richarlison managed to score late in the game, it was just a consolation. The final whistle confirmed a second straight defeat for Tottenham under interim coach Igor Tudor, raising concerns among fans about a possible relegation battle.

Jamie O’Hara discusses issues at Hotspur Way

O’Hara shared his thoughts on social media, highlighting three main problems at the club: recruitment, mentality, and standards.

He didn’t just criticize the players and the coach but also pointed to issues at the management level as factors contributing to the decline at Tottenham.

He wrote: “Chickens have come home to roost, years of terrible recruitment, poor standards and weak mentality, embarrassing to watch every week, top to bottom huge problems.”

Currently, Tottenham is outside the relegation zone, partly because Nottingham Forest and West Ham United also lost. However, the team’s recent performances have raised alarms.

O’Hara believes the problems are deeper than just individual mistakes or tactics. Questions have been raised about recruitment strategy, team mentality, and overall standards.

With a busy schedule ahead and low morale, Tottenham must fight to maintain their credibility and secure their place in the Premier League.

Upcoming Challenges

Changes are needed in the club’s strategy, especially considering the struggles over recent years. Right now, the focus must be on survival, starting with the match against Crystal Palace next.

Igor Tudor’s team will host Oliver Glasner & Co. midweek as the Eagles aim to exploit Tottenham’s vulnerabilities. If that occurs, Tudor’s position at the club could be in jeopardy, particularly as he is still adapting to the role.
