The San Antonio Spurs were displaced from their home arena for three weeks due to the rodeo. They concluded their 8-1 “rodeo trip” with a dominant 131-91 victory against the Philadelphia 76ers.

After the New York Knicks snapped the Spurs’ 11-game winning streak, San Antonio took control of the game and led by as much as 49 points in the third quarter, handing the 76ers their second-largest home defeat of the year.

Spurs’ Annual Trip

Each year, the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo forces the Spurs to leave the AT&T Center for three weeks. While the arena fills with rodeo events, the team hits the road, although they did play two home games in Austin during this time.

During the trip, the Spurs faced challenges as seven of the nine teams they played had winning records. They managed to defeat three of the top six teams in the Eastern Conference and the sixth to eighth-place teams in the West, with their only loss coming from the 40-22 Knicks.

Throughout the rodeo trip, the Spurs outscored their opponents by an average of 14.4 points per game. They shot 49.9% from the field, with Victor Wembanyama averaging 3.9 blocks and 1.3 steals, including six blocks and three steals against the Sixers in just 24 minutes.
