The Charlotte Hornets have secured five consecutive wins in the past 10 days, primarily against some of the NBA’s weakest teams. On Wednesday, they managed to pull off an impressive 118-89 victory against the strong Boston Celtics on their home court.
This marks the Hornets’ sixth straight win and their 16th victory in 19 games, sending a message to the top contenders in the Eastern Conference.
Hornets’ Success Driven by Three-Point Shooting
Over the past six weeks, the Hornets have achieved a 16-3 record and lead the NBA in three-point shooting percentage, averaging over 18 successful three-pointers per game. On Wednesday, they excelled in this area against the Celtics, making 19 out of 49 three-point attempts.
Leading the league in three-pointers is Kon Knueppel, who went 4-for-8 in the game. Third-year forward Brandon Miller started the season slowly but has improved significantly, now shooting over 40 percent from beyond the arc during this impressive stretch, including a 2-for-5 performance against the Celtics.
