Manchester United falls to 10-man Newcastle in disappointing loss
The match was particularly tough for United, who couldn’t capitalize on Newcastle losing a player just before halftime.
Newcastle scored first through Anthony Gordon, while Casemiro managed to equalize for United. Despite having a player advantage later, United struggled to gain control of the match.
In the end, Newcastle secured a late winner from Will Osula, taking the match 2–1.
This loss meant Carrick ended his unbeaten streak as interim head coach.
With rising pressure, United will need to bounce back quickly in their next Premier League match against Aston Villa.
