LeBron James made history on Thursday by surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the NBA’s all-time leader in career field goals.

This milestone was achieved during the Los Angeles Lakers’ 120-113 defeat against the Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena. Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic each contributed 28 points, helping Denver secure the win.

James’ record-breaking shot occurred in the first quarter. Later in the fourth quarter, he drove to the basket for a layup that narrowed the score to 110-106, bringing the Lakers closer. However, this play resulted in an injury.

James landed awkwardly, injuring his left elbow and prompting a brief trip to the locker room. He returned to the game with just over two minutes left, with his team down by a single possession.
