Federico Valverde’s goal in injury time helped Real Madrid secure a 2-1 win against Celta Vigo, keeping their LaLiga title hopes alive.

Madrid nearly took an early lead within the first 10 minutes when a through pass from Trent Alexander-Arnold set Vinicius Junior free, but he hit the post.

They did score first in the 11th minute, with Aurelien Tchouameni finishing from a pass by Arda Guler.

Celta Vigo equalized 14 minutes later as Borja Iglesias found the net after an assist from Williot Swedberg.

Thibaut Courtois made a crucial save just before half-time to deny Swedberg, as Celta Vigo caused problems for Real.

The second half saw Madrid struggle to find the net, with Celta Vigo almost scoring the winner when Iago Aspas hit the post in the 87th minute.
