Founded in 1882, Tottenham had never before lost six matches in a row across all competitions.

This streak has increased the pressure on the team as they try to find solutions during a challenging period.

Tottenham loses 5-2 to Atletico Madrid in UCL round of 16

The latest defeat occurred during the first leg of Tottenham’s Champions League round of 16 match against Atletico Madrid on March 10.

Atletico took an early lead, exploiting Tottenham’s defensive issues. Goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky had a difficult start, with errors leading to three goals within the first 17 minutes before he was replaced.

By the end of the first half, Spurs were down 4-0. Pedro Porro and Dominic Solanke managed to score two goals for Tottenham, but Atletico ultimately secured a commanding 5-2 win in the first leg.
