Despite Steph Curry’s knee injury, the Golden State Warriors had a chance to win while leading by eight points with 90 seconds left. However, that did not happen on Tuesday.

Draymond Green fouled Jalen Smith with just 1.4 seconds remaining, allowing Smith to make both free throws and tie the game, sending it to overtime. The Warriors struggled in the extra period, shooting just 2-for-11, and lost 130-124 to the Chicago Bulls.

Golden State Warriors losing key games late

This loss marked the Warriors’ third consecutive defeat and their second straight against teams with a record more than 10 games below .500. On Monday, they fell to the Utah Jazz, 119-116, as three Jazz players on two-way contracts combined for 22 points in the fourth quarter.

On Tuesday, Matas Buzelis, a second-year forward, scored a career-high 41 points, including a crucial three-pointer that helped the Bulls rally in the final moments. The Warriors missed two scoring opportunities on one possession and made a poor turnover, allowing their lead to dwindle.

The Warriors could have held on to win if not for Green’s foul on Smith during a low-percentage shot attempt.
