Chelsea winger Pedro Neto has had a disappointing season, leaving many at Stamford Bridge feeling that the club would be better off without a player who sees himself as the star when he is more of a support player.

Neto is considered one of the players who might be let go as Chelsea continues to reshape their squad in hopes of winning a third Champions League title.

Interestingly, Neto is attracting interest, not from teams below Chelsea like Wolves, where he might be the top player, but from Barcelona.

According to a report from Mundo Deportivo in Catalunya, Barcelona is keeping an eye on the Chelsea winger as the summer transfer window approaches. They already have Lamine Yamal as one of the top right wingers and Raphinha, who has been playing on the left wing.

It seems unusual for Barcelona to pursue another left-footed winger when they have a pressing need for a striker, even though they’re likely to retain Marcus Rashford permanently.

Given the circumstances, Neto’s potential move may seem too good to be true. However, Barcelona has made questionable transfer decisions in the past, so Chelsea fans might hope for a repeat mistake involving a player who isn’t quite up to their level.
