Los Angeles FC will aim to stay unbeaten in the MLS season on Saturday as they face St. Louis City SC, a team that has never won against them.

LAFC (3-0-0, 9 points) is one of three teams in the league to have three wins and three clean sheets so far.

After a 1-1 draw with Costa Rican club Alajuelense in the CONCACAF Champions Cup, the team has a busy schedule. They will play their second leg against Alajuelense on Tuesday after Saturday’s MLS match.

Coach Marc Dos Santos mentioned, “We have to think about fresh legs on Tuesday, but we also have the opportunity to earn 12 out of 12 points in MLS.”

Forward David Martinez leads the team with two goals in three matches, while Son Heung-Min has provided three assists, matching his total from last season.

LAFC holds a 4-0-2 record against St. Louis in MLS history, conceding just two goals in those six matches.

St. Louis (0-2-1, 1 point) is traveling to Los Angeles looking for their first win this season.

After losing 1-0 to Seattle last weekend, St. Louis has gone two games without scoring.

St. Louis coach Yoann Damet emphasized the importance of managing moments in matches, stating, “Little details can affect the outcome. It’s crucial for players to make the right decisions.”

Marcel Hartel is the only player to have scored for St. Louis this season, with a goal in the 1-1 draw against Charlotte at the start of the MLS campaign.

This match is the first of two encounters this season, with LAFC set to visit St. Louis on May 13.
