Michael Carrick’s Manchester United team is facing a quiet period, having been eliminated from both the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.

Their 15th place finish in the Premier League last season means they will not be competing in Europe for the 2025/26 season.

Their sole focus now is securing a spot in the Premier League’s top four before the season concludes in May.

As the men’s team takes a back seat, the women’s side, under manager Marc Skinner, is gaining attention.

Currently, United Women hold second place in the league, trailing leaders Manchester City by eight points, and they are also in contention for the League Cup.

Skinner’s team will meet Chelsea Women in the final at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol on Sunday, with a full crowd expected.

It’s set to be a challenging match, as Chelsea has a history of success in trophy competitions.

Additionally, the recent signing of a new contract by Lauren James, sister of Reece James, adds to the concerns for their opponents.
