The Oklahoma City Thunder have achieved a notable feat, securing their second winning streak of 10 or more games in the 2025-26 season. They celebrated this accomplishment with a strong 121-92 victory against the Brooklyn Nets.
This latest winning streak began on February 27, following a dramatic overtime win against the Denver Nuggets, ending with a score of 127-121.
Key Victories Highlight the Streak
While wins over the Nets, Mavericks, and Bulls may not stand out, the Thunder have also claimed impressive victories against teams like the New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Orlando Magic, as well as two wins over the Nuggets during this streak.
The Thunder’s previous streak ran from November 7 to December 10, achieving 16 consecutive wins.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Shines
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the reigning MVP, is solidifying his legacy during this streak. He broke Wilt Chamberlain’s record for the most consecutive games with at least 20 points during a 104-102 win over Boston.
On Wednesday, he extended his record by scoring 20 points in just 26 minutes, hitting 8 of 9 shots for an impressive accuracy of 88.9%. The night before, he scored a season-high 40 points in Orlando and has reached at least 30 points in half of the games during the current winning run.
Gilgeous-Alexander is concentrating on leading the Thunder to consecutive NBA titles, averaging 31.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 6.6 assists so far this season.
Most importantly, Oklahoma City holds a 55-15 record and leads the Western Conference by 3.5 games over the San Antonio Spurs.
Interestingly, the Thunder do not have the longest active winning streak; that honor belongs to the Atlanta Hawks, who have now won 11 games in a row, their longest run in a decade.
