Sam Surridge scored three goals and Cristian Espinoza added one goal and one assist as Nashville SC defeated Orlando City SC 5-0 on Saturday.

Surridge, who previously had two hat tricks in his 24-goal season in 2025, netted one goal in the first half and two in the second, helping Nashville (4-0-1, 13 points) maintain its unbeaten streak. Goalkeeper Brian Schwake registered his third clean sheet with one save.

Orlando (1-4-0, 3 points) managed only one shot on target compared to Nashville’s nine. Goalkeeper Maxime Crepeau made four saves but conceded five goals, marking Orlando’s second 5-0 loss in just three games. Saturday’s match was the team’s second under interim head coach Martin Perelman following the departure of Oscar Pareja.

After Nashville’s Alex Muyl had a header saved by Crepeau early in the match, Espinoza scored his second goal of the season, giving the home team a 1-0 lead just five minutes in. He received a pass from Andy Najar and unleashed a powerful shot from the right side of the box over the goalkeeper.

Nashville took three shots before Orlando had its first attempt, a shot by Duncan McGuire after 14 minutes.

After Nolan Miller received a yellow card for a foul, Surridge converted a penalty kick to extend Nashville’s lead to 2-0 in the 28th minute.

Both Surridge and Patrick Yazbek had chances to increase the lead, but Crepeau made saves to keep the score at 2-0 at halftime.

Surridge scored again 10 minutes into the second half, finding a loose ball in the box and putting it away with a left-footed shot for a 3-0 advantage.

Continuing his strong performance, Surridge received a pass from Espinoza and scored from the left side of the box in the 67th minute, pushing the lead to four. Warren Madrigal capped off the scoring with his second goal of the season in the 80th minute, making it 5-0.
