The Philadelphia 76ers traded Jared McCain for a late first-round pick and tax benefits. On Monday, he showcased his skills in a 123-103 victory for the Oklahoma City Thunder against his former team.

McCain scored 13 points, hitting 3-of-7 from three-point range, and recorded a +19 plus/minus rating, the highest in the game. The Thunder won their 12th consecutive game and improved to 17-2 since acquiring the second-year guard.

Jared McCain contributed significantly for a healthy Thunder team

The Thunder faced several injuries among starters recently. Jalen Williams returned to action for the first time since February 11, scoring 18 points in 20 minutes along with six assists and four rebounds. Starting center Isaiah Hartenstein has struggled with injuries all season but managed 10 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists in just 22 minutes on Monday.

Despite the return of backcourt players, McCain still played 25 minutes. With the Thunder leading by 22 points at halftime, they allowed Williams and Lu Dort to rest, giving extended minutes to guards Cason Wallace and Isaiah Joe, as well as McCain.

As McCain made back-to-back three-pointers in the first quarter, injured All-Star Tyrese Maxey appeared displeased watching his former teammate succeed against his team.
