In recent years, Crystal Palace has seen many key players leave Selhurst Park.

Michael Olise joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2024 for £60 million.

Eberechi Eze transferred to Arsenal last summer for £67.5 million.

Marc Guehi moved to Manchester City in January 2026 for £20 million after almost joining Liverpool in the summer.

Now, Adam Wharton is likely to be the next player on the move.

Since the season began, Manchester United has shown interest in him as a potential replacement for Casemiro.

Initially, he was considered along with Elliot Anderson and Carlos Baleba, but the Brighton midfielder has been replaced by Sandro Tonali.

At this time, Tonali appears to be United’s main target, while Manchester City is reportedly interested in Anderson.

According to The Sun, Adam Wharton wants to leave Crystal Palace to pursue Champions League football.

The England international has experienced European competition after helping Crystal Palace qualify for the UEFA Conference League by winning the FA Cup last season.

This victory marked the club’s first trophy, followed by a win against Liverpool in the Community Shield, doubling their trophy count in a few months.

However, with Wharton’s contract extending until 2029, Crystal Palace would need to agree to his departure, with the club previously valuing him at around £100 million.

This valuation reflects his status as an established Premier League midfielder; however, his performance in Europe has further solidified this worth as Crystal Palace is set to face Fiorentina in the Conference League Quarter-Finals.

For now, he remains on Manchester United’s shortlist, even as Tonali seems to be the favored signing.
