Casemiro will leave Manchester United this summer after four years. The club now faces the challenge of finding a replacement for the Brazilian midfielder.

Despite some doubts about his performance, he has recently shown signs of improvement.

At 34, he may not reach the heights he did at Real Madrid, but he remains effective in Premier League matches.

Manchester United is actively searching for a suitable replacement, as shown by his recent selection for the Brazil national team in March.

During a match against France, where Brazil lost 2-1, both Casemiro and Matheus Cunha played. After the game, Casemiro’s comments could have repercussions.

Casemiro confirmed that he would not continue at Old Trafford beyond the summer, which might not sit well with Brazil’s coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Ancelotti had already faced criticism for not including Neymar in the squad for the March internationals.

Neymar, Brazil’s all-time top scorer with 79 goals, has struggled since returning to Santos, leading Ancelotti to leave him out of the squad.

According to The Mirror, Casemiro praised Neymar’s importance, calling him ‘indispensable’ for the national team. He stated:

“We know how good Neymar is. He is indispensable to any national team, especially when he’s in form, one of the best in the world.”

He further added that Neymar is one of the top three players of his generation, alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

“For my generation, he is one of the top three: Cristiano, Messi, and Neymar,” he concluded.

However, Casemiro noted that it is ultimately Ancelotti’s choice regarding player selections, saying, “It’s not up to me to decide who they’re going to call up.”

Now, Casemiro looks forward to Brazil’s friendly against Croatia in early April.

On the club front, Michael Carrick and his coaching staff will welcome back the experienced player as the squad returns from international duty. Casemiro has formed a strong partnership with Kobbie Mainoo in midfield, which will be crucial for Manchester United as they aim for Champions League qualification next season.
