The final eight teams are set for the Concacaf W Championship, scheduled for November and December 2026. This tournament will determine qualifiers for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2028 Summer Olympics.
Concacaf will have four teams automatically qualifying for the World Cup, specifically the four semifinalists of the W Championship. Additionally, there are two playoff spots available, awarded to the winners of the four-team play-in matches.
In terms of the Olympics, the two finalists of the W Championship will secure spots, along with the team that finishes in third place. The Olympics will feature 16 teams, with three coming from Concacaf.
The United States women’s national team and Canada qualified for the Concacaf W Championship automatically based on FIFA rankings as of August 2025. The two highest-ranking teams from Concacaf earn this automatic qualification.
Six other countries—Mexico, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Panama, Haiti, and El Salvador—secured their places through the Concacaf W Championship Qualification matches, finishing at the top of their respective groups.
