Former WWE wrestler Brock Lesnar has announced his retirement from wrestling following his defeat to Obi Femi at WrestleMania 42. The 48-year-old ex-MMA fighter revealed that he received a surprise call just 15 minutes after the match, marking a significant moment in his career.

Lesnar disclosed that the call came from legendary Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, who congratulated him on his achievements in the wrestling world. “I was surprised when Ronaldo called and congratulated me for my career within like 15 minutes of the match. I guess greatness recognises greatness,” Lesnar stated.

Brock Lesnar made his WWE debut in 2002 and has had a notable career, including a tenure as UFC heavyweight champion and a professional fighting record of 5-3-1. His symbolic gesture of leaving his gloves and boots in the ring following the match signifies the end of an era for the wrestling icon.
