Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is facing a significant challenge ahead of their upcoming semi-final against Bayern Munich, as the club receives troubling news regarding midfielder Vitinha.

According to FootMercato, the 26-year-old Portugal national team player sustained an injury during the Ligue 1 match against Lyon. He has been diagnosed with inflammation in his left heel, resulting in a treatment program and a necessary recovery period.

Vitinha’s participation in the first leg of the semi-final, scheduled for March 28, is now in serious doubt. Coach Luis Enrique will need to strategize on how to fill the gap left by the Portuguese midfielder.

The injury occurred when Vitinha left the field in the 39th minute, experiencing considerable discomfort that prevented him from completing the match. This season, he has made 45 appearances, scoring 7 goals and providing 10 assists.
