19-year-old midfielder Alamara Djabi, currently playing for Danish club Midtjylland and a former player for Benfica, was brutally attacked in Herning last Sunday evening. The incident involved a knife assault, resulting in severe injuries that necessitated two emergency surgeries.
The situation following surgery remained critical, and Djabi was placed in an induced coma. However, by Tuesday morning, reports indicated that he had regained consciousness, with doctors stating that his condition has stabilized. An official statement from Midtjylland noted that Djabi is feeling well given the circumstances and continues to receive constant medical care.
In response to the attack, local police have initiated an investigation and quickly identified a suspect, 20-year-old Moussa Habib Jensen, who is currently wanted. Danish authorities have reached out to the public for assistance in locating him.
