Legendary Spanish defender Sergio Ramos is poised to begin a significant new chapter in his life by acquiring his boyhood club, Sevilla FC. In a recent interview, the 40-year-old revealed that he is just one step away from finalizing the purchase of the club.
Ramos expressed optimism about the impending deal, stating, “I think in a few months or weeks there will be news, and we hope that it will be the kind we all want. Things are moving in the right direction,” as he confirmed his close proximity to completing the acquisition.
A product of Sevilla’s academy, Ramos joined the club’s youth system in 2002 and made his way to the first team by 2004. During his time at Sevilla, he played 87 matches, scoring 10 goals and providing one assist. Currently, he is a free agent after departing Mexican side Monterrey earlier this year.
