The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has refuted rumors regarding the potential withdrawal of a competition from Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. This clarification comes after speculation about the tournament’s future in the region.
A senior official from CAF confirmed that President Patrice Motsepe remains committed to hosting the event in East Africa. He emphasized ongoing support for the initiative from both heads of state and various CAF member associations.
As a result, preparations for the tournament will proceed as planned, with assurances of substantial backing to ensure it occurs under optimal conditions.
