Tottenham Hotspur Pursues Marcos Senesi as Free Agency Approaches
Tottenham Hotspur continues to be linked with a move for the Argentine defender, Marcos Senesi.
The 28-year-old will be a free agent in the summer, and Tottenham is hoping to secure his signature. He has performed well for Bournemouth in the Premier League, and he could make an immediate impact at the London club as well.
However, Liverpool are also interested in acquiring him. Both clubs need to enhance their defensive units. Signing a South American on a free transfer could prove to be a strategic move.
Spurs in Talks to Land Marcos Senesi
According to a report from CaughtOffside, Tottenham is very keen on finalizing the deal and is in advanced talks to sign the player. It remains to be seen whether they can convince him to join as a free agent. The chance to play for Liverpool could also be appealing, particularly as they may offer Champions League football next season.
A source told CaughtOffside: “It’s not agreed yet. Spurs are in advanced talks, they’re really keen on the player, but no final decision yet.”
Senesi Would Be a Quality Addition
Meanwhile, Tottenham may need to consider replacing players like Cristian Romero or Micky van de Ven this summer, as both have been linked with moves away from the club. Radu Dragusin could also seek a transfer for regular playing time. Signing a central defender will be a top priority for Tottenham this summer.
If they manage to sign the 28-year-old for free, it would allow them to allocate funds to improve other areas of the squad. The North London side should do everything possible to finalize this deal.
