Celtic Narrow Gap Behind Hearts in Scottish Premiership Title Race

With just four games left in the Scottish Premiership, the title race is heating up, as Celtic sits just three points behind league leaders Hearts. The two teams are set to face each other on the final day of the season.

At one point, a fifth consecutive league title and the 14th in the last 15 years appeared distant. However, three consecutive wins in April have narrowed the gap from five points to just three.

Last month, Celtic secured a 2-1 away victory against Dundee, followed by home wins of 1-0 against St Mirren and 3-1 against Falkirk. This streak also included a Scottish Cup semi-final win against St Mirren, paving the way for an exciting conclusion to the season with the title still within reach.

Due to this impressive form in April, manager Martin O’Neill has been named the Scottish Premiership manager of the month. It is a well-deserved recognition, especially as both Hearts and Rangers stumbled during this period.

If the 74-year-old wins the manager of the month award for May, it could indicate that Celtic will clinch the league title. Fans are hopeful that this won’t be the last time this season he receives such an honor.
