Real Salt Lake Extends Midfielder Noel Caliskan’s Contract Through 2029

Real Salt Lake has announced a contract extension for midfielder Noel Caliskan, securing his services through the 2028-29 season. The agreement, made public on Thursday, also includes an option for the 2029-30 season, reflecting the club’s confidence in the 25-year-old German international.

Since joining Real Salt Lake in 2024, Caliskan has shown his skill on the pitch, contributing one goal and four assists across 39 MLS matches, with 33 of those being starts.

“Noel has seized every opportunity presented to him over recent seasons, and we are pleased to reward his development as a professional,” stated Kurt Schmid, RSL’s chief soccer officer. “Starting 32 of our last 35 matches — spanning both midfield and right back — is a clear demonstration of the confidence our staff and his teammates have in his skill and versatility.”

Caliskan began his MLS career with the Portland Timbers, who selected him in the first round (15th overall) of the 2023 draft.
