Manchester United‘s Bruno Fernandes Remains a Target for Galatasaray Amid Transfer Speculation

Speculation continues to swirl around Manchester United as the summer window approaches.

With Champions League football now secured, the club’s position in the market has strengthened, particularly when it comes to retaining its biggest stars.

However, interest from overseas has not slowed down, especially from clubs looking to make ambitious moves.

One name continues to dominate headlines.

According to Sky Sports Germany, Galatasaray have once again identified Bruno Fernandes as their dream target for the number 10 role.

The Turkish giants are planning a major recruitment drive, aiming to bring in four to five players, including a creative midfielder and a defensive anchor.

Bruno Fernandes sits at the very top of that wishlist, with interest dating back to the previous winter window.

Despite that, there is little optimism within Galatasaray that a deal can be completed.

United’s return to the Champions League has significantly reduced the chances of any potential move, with the Portuguese star expected to remain central to the club’s plans.

At 31, Fernandes is still performing at an elite level.

He broke David Beckham’s long-standing Manchester United Premier League assist record in a single season, registering 19 assists and moving within one away of the all-time mark held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.

His influence on the pitch continues to underline why United are unwilling to entertain offers.

There has been interest from elsewhere too, including previous approaches from Al-Hilal, but those were firmly resisted.

Individually, Fernandes is also in contention for major honours, with murmurs around a potential PFA Player of the Year push, although competition from Declan Rice and Rayan Cherki remains strong.

Beyond the statistics and accolades, the player himself has already made his stance clear.

“I could have gone two years ago, I could have gone three years ago, I could have gone last season, but I really like to be here.

“I think that being successful at this club is something that I can never get at another club.

“The joy and everything I get, the day I get what I want from this club, I don’t think I will get that from any other club in the world.

“I know how much the fans want this, I know how passionate they are.

“I know how much they are waiting for the club to come back again. I’m on the same ship as them.

“I want this ship; instead of being steady, I want it to go forward and to navigate as much as we can.

“Yeah, I won the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup [but] what this club wants, what these fans want and what I want, myself and the team, we haven’t got that yet.

“Until my contract expires, I’m going to try.”

Those comments reflect a player fully committed to the project at Old Trafford.

With a contract running until 2027 and the club back among Europe’s elite, the likelihood of a departure appears slim.
