Casemiro and Ugarte Absent for Manchester United‘s Match Against Sunderland
Following the announcement of the lineups, Samuel Luckhurst from the Sun provided insights into the situation regarding Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte.
According to the MUFC insider, the former Real Madrid star is not fit to participate in the match today. However, he assured fans that the Brazilian midfielder will be available for his final game at Old Trafford next week.
“Casemiro not ready today but club expect him to be back for next week,” posted Luckhurst on his X Account.
With Casemiro unavailable, Ugarte was expected to step in as his replacement. Unfortunately, the Uruguayan will also miss the match due to a knock sustained in training.
“Ugarte sustained a problem in training,” added Luckhurst.
Darren Fletcher’s twin sons, Jack and Tyler, have been called up to fill the gaps in the squad. The 19-year-olds will start from the bench.
It is notable that Manchester United has already secured their place in next season’s Champions League, rendering their remaining matches less critical.
