Yves Bissouma Set to Leave Tottenham as Contract Expires

Roberto De Zerbi is poised to lead a significant squad overhaul at Tottenham Hotspur this summer. Regardless of the team’s performance this month, fans can expect several departures from N17.

Among those likely to exit is Yves Bissouma. The midfielder’s contract runs out this summer, and the club has yet to offer him new terms. Reports indicate that Tottenham will not activate the Malian international’s optional year, allowing him to depart on a free transfer.

The 29-year-old’s representatives are already in discussions with potential suitors as the summer transfer window approaches. Turkish club Fenerbahce has reignited its interest in Bissouma and is planning to engage with the midfielder’s camp regarding a potential free transfer from Spurs.

However, Fenerbahce will face competition from one of their Turkish rivals.

Amedspor Targets Yves Bissouma

According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira on X, Amedspor has shown interest in acquiring Bissouma.

Amedspor aims to strengthen their squad after achieving promotion to the Turkish Super Lig. They need experienced players to meet the challenges of the top-flight league, making Bissouma an ideal candidate.

The African star joined Spurs in the summer of 2022 from Brighton, following four successful seasons at the Amex Stadium. However, he has struggled to meet expectations at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium due to injuries, inconsistency, and off-field challenges. His limited availability and lackluster performances—resulting in just 11 appearances in the Premier League this season—have led the club to decide against extending his contract.
