Houston Dynamo Secures 4-1 Victory Over Los Angeles FC

Jack McGlynn scored his second career brace while Guilherme and Mateusz Bogusz also found the net, leading the Houston Dynamo to a decisive 4-1 win against Los Angeles FC on Sunday night. Lawrence Ennali contributed two assists, helping the Dynamo achieve their fourth win in their last five MLS matches.

Goalkeeper Jonathan Bond made five saves for Houston, whose record now stands at 6-5-0, earning a total of 18 points. Nathan Ordaz scored the lone goal for Los Angeles FC, who hold a record of 6-3-3 and 21 points.

LAFC’s star player, Denis Bouanga, missed the match due to a suspension from yellow-card accumulation. Hugo Lloris made two saves for LAFC, which outshot the Dynamo 20-12. Both teams had six shots on target during the game.

The Dynamo took the lead in the 25th minute when Ennali passed from the left side to McGlynn, who sent a powerful left-foot shot into the top right corner from outside the box. Nine minutes later, Houston added to their score with a free kick taken by Guilherme. His right-footed shot deflected off an LAFC defender and landed in the net.

LAFC responded in the 45th minute, with Jacob Shaffelburg’s cross being deflected to Ordaz, who scored with a left-footed shot that bounced off a Houston defender before finding the back of the net.

Houston regained control in the 51st minute when Bogusz capitalized on two chances against his former team. After his initial right-footed shot was saved by Lloris, he scored with a left-footed shot into the left corner. Just four minutes later, the Dynamo’s Ennali set up McGlynn for another goal, with McGlynn’s left-foot shot finding the far post.

McGlynn almost completed a hat trick in the 42nd minute, hitting the left goalpost with another powerful left-footed shot similar to his earlier goal.
