Celtic Gears Up for Critical Match Against Hearts Tomorrow
Tomorrow lunchtime, Celtic will host Hearts in what is as close as you will get to a final in a league game.
The task is simple: Win, and Celtic are champions. Anything else, and Hearts will be the first non-Old Firm team to be champions of Scotland since Sir Alex Ferguson’s Aberdeen side in 1985.
Winning the game will not be easy, however. Indeed not, as Celtic have failed to beat Hearts in all three previous meetings this season, losing two of those – including at Celtic Park back in early December. A lot has changed since then, but the two teams drew 2-2 in the capital back in January, a result that would be enough for Derek McInnes’ side tomorrow.
Considering The Hoops have won seven games in a row – albeit fortuitously last time out – one would have thought that Martin O’Neill will look for some continuity with his starting lineup in this do-or-die game at Celtic Park. We expect one change for this one.
Predicted Celtic XI vs. Hearts
Sinisalo; Johnston, Trusty, Scales, Tierney; McGregor, Engels; McGowan, Nygren, Hyun-Jun; Maeda.
This would allow firepower off the bench with the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho and Sebastain Tounekti, whilst also still having a relatively strong starting XI to begin with.
One more to go. Leave it all out there.
