West Ham or Tottenham Faces Relegation as Premier League Season Nears End

The Premier League relegation battle intensifies, with West Ham United and Tottenham set to determine their fate in the final two matches. As the season approaches its conclusion, the stakes are high at the bottom of the table.

West Ham’s chances took a blow last weekend following a controversial loss to Arsenal, which some observers have labeled an iffy VAR call. However, the situation shifted when Tottenham could only manage a disappointing home draw against Leeds United, leaving both teams in a precarious position.

With two fixtures left, the race for survival is tighter than ever.

Parlour Predicts the Outcome

Former player Ray Parlour shared his insights regarding the relegation battle. In a conversation with 10bet, he mentioned, “I think West Ham might go down now. I think Tottenham has that little bit of… I know they’ll be regretting the other night against Leeds. Leeds did really well in the second half, and Kinsky made a great save that could have made it 2-1 to Leeds—then suddenly Tottenham would be in real trouble.”

He added, “This weekend is massive for both sides. Tottenham aren’t playing, but West Ham goes to Newcastle, so all eyes will be on that to see if they can get something—a draw, maybe.”

Arsenal Fans Weigh In on Rivalry

During the same discussion, Parlour addressed whether some Arsenal fans would prefer Tottenham’s relegation over their own team winning the title. He quickly dismissed the idea, stating: “Oh, I’d be amazed if they didn’t say Arsenal winning the league! Look, it’s a rivalry, but you’ve got to think about yourselves; don’t worry about what happens elsewhere. It’d be a disaster for Spurs, don’t get me wrong—what with the stadium and all that—but I would always say Arsenal winning the league all day long. It’s all about yourselves and celebrating that.”

He concluded, “Whatever happens down the bottom can sort itself out; you just worry about yourselves and make sure you win that title. I’m sure hopefully a lot of Arsenal fans will be in my camp there!”
