Michael Carrick is largely credited for this success, as the 44-year-old has effectively guided the club up the Premier League standings.

This summer will provide Carrick with his first chance to collaborate with the recruitment team to bring in players that could enhance the squad for the upcoming season.

CentreDevils has learned of discussions between Manchester United and representatives from Bournemouth regarding player transfers.

The two clubs have engaged in preliminary talks about the possibility of Manchester United acquiring players from the South West club.

Sources indicate that while specific players were not disclosed, these discussions took place within the past week.

Manchester United has been previously linked with several Bournemouth players, including Junior Kroupi, who is Liverpool/”>currently attracting interest from both United and Liverpool.

The Cherries have taken a firm stance that Kroupi will not be sold, regardless of any potential offers.

Tyler Adams is another player whose name has circulated in connection with Manchester United, with the Red Devils having discussed the midfielder as far back as January.

Chelsea and Liverpool have also shown interest in Adams, which could lead to a competitive race for the American midfielder.

Another name linked to United is Marcos Senesi, with representatives from Manchester United having been in contact with the defender’s camp last month, amid interests from Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.

However, Senesi is set to leave Bournemouth on a free transfer when his contract ends this summer, meaning United would not need to negotiate with Bournemouth for the Spanish defender.

Bournemouth remains in the hunt for UEFA Champions League qualification themselves, currently just four points behind Liverpool with a game in hand.

Should Andoni Iraola’s team secure a Champions League spot, it could complicate potential deals for Manchester United.

The nature of the discussions may revolve around Bournemouth’s price expectations for their players, or Manchester United’s particular interest in specific individuals.
