Rasmus Hojlund Shines During Napoli Loan, Future Talks Intensify

Rasmus Hojlund is approaching the end of his loan spell with Napoli, having made a significant impact during his time at the club.

The Danish international, who joined the former Serie A champions during last summer’s transfer window, has appeared thirty times for the side in the league this season, scoring ten goals and providing three assists.

His influence extends beyond the league, too, with the forward finding the net four more times and adding another assist in other competitions such as the Champions League.

Hojlund’s future has become a topic of discussion among supporters of both Napoli and Manchester United, who are eager to learn what next season holds for the 23-year-old.

With Napoli now qualifying for the Champions League, it seems the club is likely to activate the obligation to buy clause from Manchester United, which is set at €44 million.

Giovanni Manna, Napoli’s Sporting Director, confirmed that “Rasmus Hojlund will stay here” when speaking in March, further suggesting that the striker may not return to Manchester United.

A permanent stay in Italy could allow the Danish international to continue the strong form he has shown throughout the season.

With Champions League football, Napoli might also face Manchester United, which would see Hojlund and the club pitted against each other on opposing sides.

For Manchester United, a permanent deal could prove beneficial by freeing up space in the squad for new signings, while also providing the club with additional funds for the upcoming summer transfer window.

Attention will now shift towards negotiating a successful deal, which, if achieved, would signal the end of Hojlund’s time as a Manchester United player, solidifying his role in Napoli’s permanent squad.
