Kaizer Chiefs may face the prospect of losing their standout winger, Glody Lilepo, from the Democratic Republic of Congo. The towering player has demonstrated impressive form this season since joining the club from French side Valenciennes FC.

According to a report from Le Site Info, Raja Casablanca coach Fadlu Davids has formally requested that his club consider acquiring Lilepo from Chiefs. Davids, who has South African roots, is reportedly keen on integrating local talent into his team.

Lilepo has been a significant contributor to Chiefs’ offensive efforts, scoring five goals this season. His performances have attracted international interest, highlighting his reputation as a prominent player in the football arena.

However, Lilepo’s absence from the Democratic Republic of Congo’s World Cup squad, announced yesterday, marks a setback in his career. This exclusion follows a reported fallout with national team coach Sebastien Desabre earlier this year, leading to his omission from the national side. Questions remain regarding whether Kaizer Chiefs would be willing to let go of such an influential player as they prepare to compete for honors next season.
