Bruno Fernandes Responds to Roy Keane’s Criticism After Historic Assist Milestone
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes defended himself following the latest accusation launched by Roy Keane.
The 31-year-old made history on Sunday by registering his 20th assist in the current Premier League campaign after setting up Bryan Mbeumo’s goal in the 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest.
The Portuguese star has now equalled the record set by Thierry Henry and Kevin de Bruyne. He will have the opportunity to surpass the Arsenal and Man City legends on the final day of the season, when Man Utd take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Roy Keane Blasted Bruno Fernandes & Man Utd Teammates
With Man Utd having already secured their place in the Champions League, and third place virtually guaranteed, the players appeared adamant about helping their captain make history.
Even Fernandes admitted that he made the extra pass at times rather than shoot straight at goal, in the hopes of extending his assist tally.
