Tottenham Aims to Sign Eduardo Camavinga from Real Madrid Amid Coaching Changes

Jose Mourinho is approaching a return to Real Madrid after more than a decade. The former coach, known as the ‘Special One’, is set to take over from Alvaro Arbeloa, the current interim manager, to lead Real Madrid as their new head coach.

Last month, reports indicated that Mourinho topped the wishlist of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez. After a challenging season without any trophies, Perez believes the Portuguese coach is the right choice to address the club’s issues.

Following a trophyless season, Real Madrid plans significant changes, with several key players and promising talents reportedly leaving the club. Among them is Eduardo Camavinga, who has been heavily linked with a departure. The 23-year-old midfielder has faced a difficult season, starting only 16 of 29 La Liga matches.

Jose Mourinho’s Role Crucial in Eduardo Camavinga’s Future Amid Tottenham Interest

Recent reports indicate that Tottenham has submitted a €45 million offer to sign Eduardo Camavinga from Real Madrid.

The midfielder is currently reeling from being excluded from the France squad for the upcoming World Cup and is contemplating his future at Santiago Bernabeu, with Spurs becoming a likely destination.

According to an exclusive report from Football Insider, the incoming Madrid coach, Jose Mourinho, is expected to play a crucial role in determining Camavinga’s future. Real Madrid has reportedly agreed to allow the French international to leave at the end of the 2025-26 season, following a decline in his position within the midfield hierarchy.

Camavinga is technically sound and tactically adaptable, fitting seamlessly into De Zerbi’s style of play. His blend of grit, technical skill, spatial awareness, and stamina has caught the attention of clubs across Europe, making him well-suited for a system characterized by pressing, fluidity, and swift transitions.

With Yves Bissouma’s contract expiring this summer and Joao Palhinha’s future uncertain, Tottenham is in urgent need of creativity and control in midfield. The Madrid star, who can also play as a left-back, meets many of these requirements. However, Tottenham’s absence from European competition next season may pose a significant hurdle to securing Camavinga’s signature.
