Cristiano Ronaldo Secures First Major Trophy with Al-Nassr
Cristiano Ronaldo has officially won his first major trophy with Al-Nassr.
He has guided the Saudi club to the 2025/26 Saudi Pro League title.
The Portuguese forward has enjoyed another remarkable season in front of goal.
Ronaldo finished the league campaign with 28 goals and two assists in 29 appearances.
The 41-year-old has continued to prove his quality despite his age.
Earlier this month, Cristiano Ronaldo also reached 100 league goals for Al-Nassr since joining the club from Manchester United in early 2023.
While Ronaldo previously lifted the Arab Club Champions Cup with Al-Nassr, that competition is not officially recognised by FIFA or the Saudi football authorities as a major title.
This Saudi Pro League triumph therefore marks his first officially recognised major honour with the club.
The final day of the season brought major drama involving Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal.
The league title was in Al-Nassr’s hands; all they needed was a win to secure the trophy.
Ronaldo’s side faced Damac FC, who were fighting relegation on the last day.
In the 34th minute, former Liverpool winger Sadio Mane scored to give the home side the lead.
Shortly after half-time, Kingsley Coman scored from outside the box to put Al-Nassr 2-0 up.
Six minutes later, Damac FC scored a penalty to get back into the game.
Then, Cristiano Ronaldo scored a free-kick in the 63rd minute to make it 3-1.
The United and Real Madrid legend later added his second of the game with a right-footed shot from the right side of the six-yard box to seal the Saudi Pro League title.
Ronaldo’s success in Saudi Arabia comes during what could be the final chapter of his legendary playing career.
Earlier this year, the former Manchester United forward purchased a 25% stake in Spanish club UD Almeria.
That news further increased speculation surrounding his future as a football player.
Ronaldo has also hinted that he could retire following the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
His legacy at Manchester United remains significant.
Ronaldo first joined the club from Sporting CP in 2003 and quickly developed into one of the best players in world football under Sir Alex Ferguson.
During his first spell at Old Trafford, he won three Premier League titles, the Champions League and his first Ballon d’Or.
He later returned to United in 2021 for a second spell before eventually departing for Al-Nassr.
Now, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has added another league title to his incredible list of achievements.
This moment further strengthens his legendary career.
