Kano State Government has announced a cash reward for players and officials of Kano Pillars in preparation for their upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match against Plateau United. This decision aims to bolster the team’s morale ahead of the crucial fixture.
The announcement was made on Tuesday in Kano by Sani Musa Danja, the State Adviser on Youth Affairs and Sports. He emphasized that the initiative is part of the government’s efforts to motivate the team before this significant encounter.
Kano Pillars are scheduled to travel to Jos this weekend to confront Plateau United at the New Jos Stadium. This match is expected to be a tightly contested affair, given the stakes involved.
Currently, Kano Pillars occupy the 10th position on the NPFL table with 48 points, while Plateau United is closely trailing in 12th place with 47 points. This proximity sets the stage for an important battle as the season draws to a close.
