Percy Tau has become the second player to leave Vietnamese club Nam Dinh FC, following compatriot Njabulo Blom. Blom’s exit was confirmed earlier this week, and Tau’s departure comes as both players had unsuccessful tenures at the club, making their exits appear inevitable.

Since leaving Egyptian giants Al-Ahly three seasons ago, Tau’s career has faced significant challenges. His move to Egypt from English club West Bromwich Albion five years ago has been viewed as a pivotal moment that negatively impacted his footballing journey.

Furthermore, Tau’s absence from the national team has become increasingly evident, placing him far from consideration for next year’s World Cup, despite previously being a key figure in coach Hugo Broos’ selections. Similarly, Blom, once seen as a promising talent after his tenure with Kaizer Chiefs, has struggled to regain his form.

Both players are now free agents, raising questions about potential interest from other clubs as they seek to restart their careers.
