Dr. Xanti Pupuma is uncertain about his future as the coach of Milford FC in the Betway Premiership for the upcoming season. His comments come after he successfully led the team to its first-ever PSL promotion following a 1-1 draw against Magesi FC at Seshego Stadium.
Milford FC achieved promotion through the PSL Promotion/Relegation Play-Off, emerging victorious in a three-team mini league that also included Cape Town City and Magesi FC. This landmark achievement has put the club firmly in the Betway Premiership.
Despite his current role as chairman, Pupuma indicated that he plans to discuss his future with the ‘chairman’ of the club. “I’ll talk to the chairman,” he remarked sarcastically when asked about his prospects.
He further elaborated, stating, “We are going to sit and talk about it with my leaders and see what is best for me, what is for my other job and for the team. I don’t want to compromise the team and my other job. So PSL is a bit demanding, so we are going to sit, go through the programme and see if it’s doable. If it’s doable then we will go on with it.”
