Jan Rezek, assistant coach of the Czechia national football team, has issued a warning to South Africa’s Bafana Bafana regarding the potent set-piece capabilities of his side. Rezek noted that set plays are a significant strength for Czechia, having already seen one goal disallowed during their opening match against South Korea.

He emphasized that the upcoming match will heavily rely on their ability to score from set pieces, especially given that South Africa lacks players of similar height to the Czech team. “We know that we’re strong in it, which was also shown in the match against Korea, when we had another goal ruled out for offside,” Rezek stated.

The fixture between the two teams is scheduled for Thursday at the Mercedes Benz Stadium, as both nations aim to rectify their performances after losing their respective opening Group A matches to Mexico and South Korea. This encounter offers a crucial opportunity for either team to secure their first win in the tournament.

The match is set to kick off at 6 PM South African time, promising to be a challenging contest for both sides as they look to get their World Cup campaigns back on track.
