Dwight Yorke has emerged as a candidate for the vacant coaching position at Kaizer Chiefs. The former Manchester United star has been without a coaching role since his dismissal from the Trinidad and Tobago national team in March.

Kaizer Chiefs are currently seeking new leadership after mutually parting ways with their former co-coaches, Cedric Kaze and Ben Youssef Khalil. Reports from Skyports suggest that Yorke has already engaged in discussions with the club regarding the coaching role.

However, Yorke faces competition from Fernando Cruz, who has also been mentioned as a potential successor. In an announcement related to the club’s future, Chiefs have launched the Toyota Cup, during which Marketing Director Jessica Motaung indicated that a new coach will be revealed next week.
