The Bafang-based club, Unisport, is facing challenges in the title race after suffering a second consecutive defeat in the Cameroonian professional league. On Wednesday, June 17, during matchday 25, Unisport was up against Coton Sport at the Roumde Adjia Annex Stadium, where they were unable to secure any points.
Unisport fell to a 3-0 defeat, with Amadou Ahidjo opening the scoring for Coton Sport in the 16th minute. Carlos Yougouda then scored twice in quick succession, netting goals in the 55th and 60th minutes, which ultimately sealed the victory for Coton Sport. This loss has significantly diminished Unisport Bafang’s hopes of clinching the 2025–2026 league title.
In another match on the same day, Canon Yaounde secured a 2-0 victory against Gazelle FA. Ako Assomo was the standout player, scoring both goals to lead his team to victory.
