FIFA has officially announced the appointment of Moroccan referee Jalal Javed to officiate the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Group K match between Portugal and Uzbekistan, scheduled for Tuesday.
Javad, an experienced official, will be supported by his fellow Moroccans, Zakariya Brinsi and Mustapha Akarkad, who will act as assistant referees for this important match.
Additionally, South Africa’s Abongile Tom has been designated as the fourth official, while Zakhele Siwela will serve in the capacity of reserve assistant referee.
