FIFA has selected an all-African officiating team for the upcoming match between Portugal and Uzbekistan. The match is part of the second matchday in Group K of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and is set to take place on 23 June at 5 pm GMT at the NRG Stadium in Houston.

The officiating crew consists of three Moroccans and two South Africans. Jalal Jayed from Morocco will serve as the main referee, with fellow Moroccans Zakadia Brinsi and Mostafa Akarkad as his assistants.

South Africans Abongile Tom and Zakehele Siwela will take on the roles of fourth and fifth officials, respectively, completing the officiating team for this important fixture.
