Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool came down with 4-3-3 tactics and Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern with 4-2-3-1. Bayern have possession of the ball and Liverpool, typical of Klopp’s team, try to press to win the ball and launch a counterattack.

Bayern controlled possession but in fact Liverpool were able to steal the lead, even scoring two goals within 30 minutes. The first goal came from Cody Gakpo (2′) when he received an assist from Diogo Jota.

Then for the second goal (28′) created by Liverpool captain, Virgil van Dijk, from a set piece situation when he headed the ball from Andy Robertson’s pass.

Bayern slowly got up from 0-2 down and scored in the 33rd minute. Starting from a gastric ball from Kim Min-jae, the ball was received by Serge Gnabry who passed Joel Matip and scored.

Ahead of halftime Bayern successfully equalized. Precisely in the 42nd minute when Leroy Sane received an assist from Gnabry after a counterattack. The first half ended with a 2-2 position.

Substitutions occurred in the second half for both teams. Liverpool were able to regain the lead in the 66th minute. Luis Diaz showed his individual quality after receiving an assist from Mohamed Salah. 3-2 to Liverpool.

Bayern did not want to just lose even though the match was titled a pre-season trial. Josip Stanisic scored from a set piece situation, like Van Dijk’s goal, in the 80th minute to make it 3-3.

Ahead of the game when the match seemed to be ending in a 3-3 draw, Bayern’s young player Frans Kratzig scored a beautiful goal in the 90+1′ minute. Welcoming Matthijs de Light’s gastric ball pass, Kratzig fired a first-time shot with his left foot and the ball could not be pushed away by Alisson.

The match ended 4-3 in favor of Bayern at the Singapore National Stadium. After this match, Liverpool will play a final trial match against Darmstadt (08/08) before playing week one of the Premier League against Chelsea (13/08).
