Interim head coach Igor Tudor is facing significant pressure at Tottenham after three consecutive losses in his first three games.
Tudor has not earned a single point yet, leading to serious concerns about Tottenham’s future. The team is just one point above the relegation zone, and fans are worried about when they might secure their next win or even a draw. The demand for Tudor’s dismissal has increased following defeats against London rivals Arsenal, Fulham, and Crystal Palace.
Recent reports suggested that Tudor’s position was in jeopardy after the loss to Crystal Palace on Thursday, but the board has opted to keep him for now. However, if they decide to make a change, they have a candidate in mind.
Robbie Keane ready to accept Tottenham job if Tudor is dismissed
As reported by TEAMtalk, former Spurs striker Robbie Keane is a strong candidate to take over if the club decides to make another managerial change this season.
Keane was initially discussed as a replacement for sacked manager Thomas Frank last month, but he left the interview when asked about a return to Spurs, stating he was not ready to leave his current role at Ferencvaros to take on the interim position.
However, it seems that Keane is now willing to step in and help out if necessary. The report mentions that he is not the only option being considered.
Currently, Keane manages Hungarian champions Ferencvaros, where he aims to win back-to-back league titles. He previously had success with Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv, winning the league title there as well. Veteran coach Sam Allardyce has expressed support for Keane taking a job in England, highlighting his successful stints at both Maccabi Tel Aviv and Ferencvaros.
If Tottenham does decide to let Tudor go in the near future, Keane appears to be the frontrunner for the job and is reportedly ready to take on the challenge.
